How many players registered for tryouts last year?
We reached maximum capacity.
What is the maximum amount of player that will get to tryout this year?
We are only taking 150 registrants. First come first serve. Once we have reached the max capacity, registration will be closed.
Is International Soccer Star Academy a professional soccer club?
No, the Academy is not a profesional club. We specialize in international showcases, training camps and scouting. It's what we love to do and it's all for you.
Can I compete against professional players?
NCAA Bylaw 12.2.3.1 Competition against Professionals.
Yes, any collegiate student athlete may participate singly or as a member of an amateur team against professional athletes or professional teams.
I am currently playing college ball, will this hurt my eligibilty and can I still tryout?
No, it will not hurt your elegibility. We pride ourselves in being NCAA compliant. We are not an agency or "runners." iSoccerStar is an independent international traveling amateur academy.
NCAA Bylaw 16.10.1.4 Outside Sports Teams.
An amateur outside sports team or organization may provide actual and necessary expenses to team members only if the expenses are: (a) A reasonable amount for travel and meal expenses, and apparel and equipment (for individual and team use only from teams or organizations not affiliated with member institutions, including local sports clubs as set forth in Bylaw 13.11.2.3); (b) For practice and game competition; (c) Made on a regular basis; and (d) Not an incentive and not based on performance.
17.4.8.1.1.1 Vacation-Period Exception.
A student-athlete may compete outside of the institution’s declared playing and practice season as a member of an outside team in any noncollegiate, amateur competition during any official vacation period published in the institution’s catalog.
17.4.8.1.2 Out of Season.
There are no limits on the number of student-athletes from the same member institution with eligibility remaining who may practice or compete out of season on an outside amateur team (competition on an outside team permitted only during the summer except as provided in Bylaw 17.4.8.1.1.1)
I am currently playing for an ACADEMY TEAM / CLUB SOCCER TEAM, can I still tryout?
Yes, this is an open tryout and we are an independent traveling team. We are not asking you to leave your club team.
How much does this trip cost?
OPTION A - only
$395 Tryout fee
If you make the team the trip will cost nothing. The Academy will cover the following expenses:

OPTION B -
$2775 (Airfare and insurance not include. Your estimated costs after everything is about $4000)
You can bypass the tryouts and go directly to England for the showcase. But, just because you can afford the trip does not mean you can automatically go. You will have to
email us your CV ("Bio/Resume") and preferably a link to your highlight video for approval.

Is there a deadline to register for the tryouts and how much is it?
- $395 early online registration fee by May 1, 2012.
- $500 late online registration fee by May 19, 2012.
We suggest to register early. Registration will close automatically when we have reached a capacity of 150 registrants.
Why the $395 tryout fee?
Their are many reasons why we charge $395
- This is how we make sure that only dedicated and serious soccer players register
- Going to England is extremly expensive. This is how we fund the trip to England.
- What we do is truly priceless. If you can get showcases on your own with professional english clubs then their is no need to tryout with us.
If you truly want this opportunity. $395 should not be a problem.
What is the optional Pre-tryout training camp?
Pre-Tryout Training Camp (OPTIONAL):
- There on 23 spots available for the training camp.
- From May 21, 2012 - May 25, 2012
- Location: Las Vegas Sports Park
- Great opportunity to prepare for the Combine.
- $250 fee.
You are responsible for your travel and accommodations
If I get cut do I get my money back?
No.
Refund Policy?
Once you have registered their are no refunds or credit. You are fully committed and dedicated at this point. This is exactly what we look for in an athlete.
After I have registered, then what?
You will then need to book your hotel room and air-fare for Las Vegas. You are responsible for your traveling expenses. Once you make the final roster we cover the remainding expenses for Europe.
What happens if I make the team?
You will then go back home. Between the tryout date and the actual trip to England, you will be required to keep your fitness and skill level up. Training and playing everyday if possible.
iSoccerStar will be flying everybody out from their preferred departure city on July 16th. We will all meet at the Airport in England.
We leave for Europe on July 16, 2012 and return on July 30, 2012.
Can my parents or friends go on the trip to Europe?
Yes, your parents or friends may go on the trip. They will have to research and secure their own travel, transportation, and lodging.
How long will we be gone?
The trip will last for 14 days.
If I am a minor, will there be adult supervision?
Yes. We will have full time chaperones and a strict and busy itinerary. In addition, players will be required to sign a behavior contract that will outline our expectations when traveling.
Do I need a passport?
Yes. You MUST have a valid passport ASAP.
