Is International Soccer Star F.C. a professional soccer club?

No, ISSFC is not a profesional club. ISSFC is an independent international traveling amateur soccer club. We are an amateur team thats not affiliated with Agents, runners or any marketing organization.

Who is One Shot One Dream?

One Shot One Dream is the reality show that will be documenting the experiences of International Soccer Star Football Club players.


Can I compete against professional players?

NCAA Bylaw 12.2.3.1 Competition against Professionals.

An individual may participate singly or as a member of an amateur team against professional athletes or professional teams. (Revised: 8/24/07)


Should I be knowledgeable of NCAA rules regarding my amateur status?

Yes you should consult NCAA rules and regulations. For more information, NCAA Compliant.


I am currently playing college ball, can I still tryout?

Yes, We travel to Europe and back before the College preseason. Who knows if you get an offer overseas, you might not want to come back.


I am currently playing for an ACADEMY TEAM, can I still tryout?

Yes.


Do I have to pay for the trip?

If you make the team, You will not have to pay for the trip to Europe. All club related traveling expenses will be paid by the club.


OK, I am interested in trying out what do I do first?

You will need to choose your tryout location and fill out the registration form and waiver.



Why the tryout fee?

To assure that only serious applicants. This is a small fee for a great opportunity. These are also open tryouts and to offer a free tryout for college students for example would be considered an invitation which is ilegal by NCAA rules. So no, tryouts are not for free.


What happens after I register?

You should expect a call from us. If you do not get a call then we have not received your registration form. Please allow 5-10 days.


What happens after I make it past the first round tryouts?

You will need to reserve your plane tickets and hotel registration for the second round tryouts that will be held in California June 19-20, 2010. The club will reimburse the plane ticket and hotel when you arrive at the tryouts. (up to $500) This only applies to people that are traveling from outside of Southern California.



What happens if I make it past the second round tryouts?

You will be training with the club for roughly three weeks. Each week we will have cuts until the final 18-22 man roster is selected. The club will cover all the costs except food and transportation while you are here. Don't worry, you will not need transportation since the hotel, training facility and local restaraunts are within a block from each other.

After the three week training is over, we are off to Europe. All relate expenses will be covered by the club.



Can my parents or friends go on the trip to Europe?

Yes, your parents or friends may go on the trip. They will have to research and secure their own travel, transportation, and lodging.


How long will we be gone?

The trip will last for roughly two weeks.


If I am a minor, will there be adult supervision?

Yes. We will have full time chaperones, a strict and busy itinerary, and two full time translators. In addition, players will be required to sign a behavior contract that will outline our expectations when traveling.


Do I need a passport?

Yes. You MUST have a valid passport ASAP.
